We spoke to Mercedes design boss Peter Pfeiffer at the recent Detroit Motor Show – and asked him about the future strategy at the Stuttgart company. We had a discussion last year about the current Mercedes-Benz line-up. Mercedes has a very strict design and the idea came up to do a forward-looking car.
The commemorative poster and program cover for the 2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition has been unveiled at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan. Renowned automotive artist Steven Macy designed this year's edition and he was joined at the unveiling by Ford's former global vice president of Design Jack Telnack, John Tucker (grandson of American automobile designer and entrepreneur Preston Tucker) and Dr. Phillip Hessberg.

Microsoft has announced a concept version of the Windows operating system aimed at in-car entertainment for the connected car. Although details are limited at this stage, 'Windows in the Car' is set to challenge the already confirmed Apple CarPlay and Google’s Open Automotive Alliance, which is also aiming to bring the Android OS into vehicles.
